Wilson Noe Vasquez Perez

Wilson at Fabretto center Cusmapa (left) Wilson held by sister at relatives house (right)

Wilson, a 16 month old baby from Tamarindo (a looooooooooong way from Cusmapa only accessible by foot), came to the Fabretto center with his 15 year old sister. His mother passed away in August, leaving his father and sister to raise him and his siblings. In addition, Wilson was born with TEV, or clubfoot. We are currently working with local health workers to get Wilson to Somoto for treatment. Also, since he is so young and without a mother to breastfeed him, we are providing fortified milk and other food to make sure he is adequately nourished. We will monitor Wilson's health as best we can and make sure he has what he needs as he grows.

Thank you again for your support!

  1. This really makes me wonder what you see as far as services that are/can be provided for the children with special needs in the areas where you work. What age does school start at for most kids? What range of abilities does it serve? I love what you're doing. Keep it up!
